A Burgin Genealogy Website

This site was created for your pleasure and enlightenment by my father, Don Burgin.

No fancy hi-falutin' editor was used, and no critters were harmed in the building of this website. There could well be some spelling or grammatical errors, but keep in mind this text is written in Tennessee tongue and not the Queen's English.

Secondly, thru his feeble, but honest efforts, he hoped to show that the Burgin family has a remarkable history and a heritage to be proud of. This is done by showing their undying courage as 18th century pioneers in the mountains of Western North Carolina and East Tennessee, their involvement in the Civil War, and their impact on our nation's history.

Although my father is a descendant of Pioneer Ben, this does not preclude the listing of Jesse's descendants. They are listed or mentioned in all areas. None of this could have been done without relying heavily upon Peggy Silvers' book Echoes In The Mist.
